HypnoLife - because if not now..............then when?
What types of therapy are available?

What is involved in therapy?

Hypnosis itself is unlikely to provide a relief of symptoms, whatever those symptoms might be. It is the therapy - hypnotherapy - which is carried out within the hypnotised state that is important. It takes two entirely different forms.

Suggestion Therapy

This form of treatment is ideal for helping to cope with such things as examination fears, driving test nerves, smoking, nail biting, some weight-control problems, stress, ego-strengthening, sports performance enhancement (particularly effective in goal focus) and so on.

Analytical Therapy

This is used for the more deep-rooted problems. The technique aims to find and remove the underlying original cause of such things as irrational fears, emotional problems, relationship difficulties, psychosexual problems (eg. premature ejaculation, impotence, loss of libido to name but a few), lack of confidence, moodiness, sleeping difficulties, stuttering/stammering, anxiety, inferiority complex, unhappiness, phobias, etc. and most other problems where there is a more deep rooted psychological factor at work.
The treatment period will typically be between six and twelve weekly sessions and will usually produce a complete and lasting release from the symptom(s). It is a totally private and individual, one-to-one form of therapy.

Only the therapy that is right for you will be used and this will be discussed with you fully before you make any decision to enter into therapy.

Listed below are three problems I am often asked about:
An outline of the relevant therapy for each situation is shown here, but if you would like further details, please don't hesitate to contact me. Session length: Most sessions last for approximately 60 minutes, though, in common with all good therapists, I do not work 'to the clock'. If a little longer time is needed, then a little longer time is given. Therefore, if you should find yourself waiting for a few moments after your appointment is due to start, please be patient.

Quit Smoking Therapy

The success rate for this type of therapy is far higher than you might imagine - in fact, some surveys have shown it to be one of the most effective methods of quitting. No drugs are used and there are no unpleasant side effects; many people experience no withdrawal symptoms and little or no craving, so if you're determined to kick the habit, it REALLY CAN HELP. Although a single 90 minute session is all that is necessary if you want results fast, I am more happy with therapy over 2-3 sessions to ensure the best possible outcome for you.

Self Confidence/Self Esteem

Hypnosis is of enormous help in assisting you in undoing any limiting beliefs you have about yourself. Whether these fundamental beliefs of self were as a result of a one off imprinting event or through continual conditioning, my clients are again and again, coming through these limitations and reaching levels of confidence and achievement that previously they would of laughed at had they been suggested. Everyone deserves to feel good about themselves. Incredible things can happen once a good level of self acceptance and self esteem are re-established. This therapy can, depending on the circumstances, be anywhere between 4-20 sessions. I will work alongside you, making sure all therapy is tailor made for you and for you only.

Fears and Phobias

When you have a fear or phobia that you really cannot get to grips with however hard you try, no amount of well-intentioned 'help' from friends or family is likely to solve the problem - it can even make things worse.

The fact of the matter is this: Where imagination and rationale are in conflict, imagination invariably wins. Hence why willpower so often fails us.

Although it may seem impossible to you now, hypnotherapy can help to remove the problem so that you could simply forget it ever existed in the first place. Using only the right sort of therapy for your particular problem.

It is often believed that the only way to overcome deep-rooted fears is to somehow 'face up' to the feared experience. You may rest assured that this is simply not the case and you will therefore not be subjected to any type of exposure therapy.
